Our afternoon was spent celebrating with Marycarson Hinnant. She is a dear friend of Anna and Noah's and had her 2nd birthday party today. Her mom, Courtney, is a sweet friend of mine, and did a fabulous job on the her party, down to every detail. I want to get some of the pictures from the party back, to show you every detail. Super cute!!

Okay, well thats for starters...let's see when I actually write on here again! :)

Major Milestones!

Wow! This past week will make it in the baby books for sure! On Friday, Anna "officially" began crawling. I was sitting at the computer checking my email, and I looked back, and little AC was hauling it across the room on all 4's!! I could not believe it!! It made me crack up ---I was laughing so hard!! She was grinning from ear to ear, and was so proud of herself. I love her so much---she is growing up so fast and into such a beautiful little girl.

Noah had a major calendar moment as well. For the past couple of months, I had been pushing him to "pee-pee" in the potty, only to my dismay, he hated it! It was like pulling teeth. With the advice of several friends, I allowed him to take the lead. I would ask him if he wanted to wear "big boy underwear" or pullups, and he began choosing the underwear...and throughout the day, he would run to me and say, which is the milestone, "Mommy, I need to go to the potty" and often times, he would go without even telling me !!! We would be on our walk and he would say, Mommy, I need to peepee in the creek or I need to get up and go peepee in the fence!! How exciting......And girls, this was without treats!!!

The major Big Boy moment came when about midweek, as we were rocking before bed, he began saying, "Mommy, I want a big boy bed like Cameron." Matt and I have been putting this milestone off for a while, knowing that as the crib rails went down, Noah could get up!! We however, knew it was time, and that he was big enough to try the adventure...so on Friday night, we had our Kickoff Sleepover, with his best buddy and cousin, Cameron. We put the crib in the attic and Matt set up the big boy bed. They had a blast and loved every minute of it. The boys were so worn out that by 8pm, they were both asleep!!! Unbelievable! The clincher, though, came the next morning when, as we were laying in bed, we heard the pitter pattter of little tiny feet running down the hall...AT 6:15am!!!!! Now that, we will have to get use to!

My babies are growing up...and it is so bittersweet. I know they can never go back in time, and it brings tears to my eyes as I remember the sweet moments of rocking before bedtime and cradling them in my arms, thinking time would last forever...but it flies by...so enjoy every second with your precious little ones...this time you have now, you will never get it back. They are precious and dont ever take them for granted.
